Draft of Haiti poster! This is my first draft of poster. It is quite simple. Background color is black to remind wiewers thinking about Haiti disaster ( sad and injury…). Baby is crying and there is a hand to raise his face. All of them are in heart shape. It means there is a need and it symbolize for love, humane. People should care about them and help them. I aslo put some texts to show help. Moreover, background with many candles can represent for hope and praying.

Typeface

Typeface: Cambria

Cambria was designed by Dutch typographer Jelle Bosma in 2004, with Steve Matteson and Robin Nicholas. It is the font that designed for on-screen reading when printed at small sizes. It is clear and easy to read. It is distributed with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, and Microsoft Office 2007 viewers and converters. There are many kinds of font which are very clear. Cambria bold, Cambria bold italic, Cambria italic, Cambria regular and Cambria math, Cambria family (5font) are different form of Cambria. On some streets, this typeface is used to write on the banner or logo. In writingtext, Cambria is also used.

This poster made by letters and symbols. The reason reason why I was impressed by it is the whole picture liked skull. It made me fear. This poster is quite horror. I had some thoughts about that. May be this represented for something dangerous. It said that there could be a danger that could happen. I think this poster is like a message or a sign for people avoid something bad. I like the way to create and arrange typography here. Also, the shapes to make eyes, nose, and teeth of skull are very interesting but simple. The viewers can find easy to read and imagine what this is. Moreover, because the word is Mars, it made me think about fire. Actually, the way to write the letters looked like burning. Furthermore, color of this poster is suitable for skull image.It is dark color that getting the death and danger. Overall, I got thinking about this as an announcement or a prediction. There would be something wrong on 14th march 2008. The last word line gave me that considering. Dancing line…

Ater I had studied in class, I searched many pictures which are involed in line and shape. This picture is made from the lines and curves. when i looked at this, I felt very happy and excited because the characters looked like dancing and singing.
